Kokedama Workshop

Kokedama Workshop

Learn the ancient Japanese art of kokedama! This beautiful bonsai-inspired plant technique contains a plant’s root system into a living moss ball. This method is a self-contained watering system for tropical plants, and creates a stunning centerpiece. Often called “string gardens” or "the poor man's bonsai", kokedama are both a plant and a piece of natural art, bringing a simple, organic feel to any space.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to create your own tropical plant kokedama from start to finish. We’ll guide you through shaping the soil, wrapping and securing the moss, and assembling a balanced, healthy plant that you’ll take home with you.

You’ll also learn essential care tips, including watering, light requirements, and long-term maintenance so your kokedama can thrive long after class.

Whether you’re a plant lover or a complete beginner, this workshop is designed to be relaxing, creative, and beginner-friendly. You’ll leave with a new skill and a unique living piece of art for your home.
