We the People: Voices of Democracy

We the People: Voices of Democracy is a free public exhibition from CSU Libraries exploring civic expression and the role individuals play in shaping a more just, inclusive society. It opens September 8, 2026 and runs through January 10, 2027. The show is hosted at CSU’s Morgan Library (CSU Libraries), on the 2nd floor in the Helen K & Arthur Johnson Foundation Gallery. Visitors will see bold, visually driven poster art that links democracy, participation, and activism. Highlights include contemporary posters by Shepard Fairey created in collaboration with Amplifier. The exhibition also draws from CSU’s renowned Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition (CIIPE) collection, spanning decades of creative work. What makes it special is its mix of global perspectives and local histories, using design as a call to action around dialogue, justice, and dignity. Timed with major anniversaries—250 years for the nation and 150 for Colorado—it invites reflection on how democracy evolves and how each voice matters.
