Cows, Cacao, & Clay: An Interactive Farm & Craft Experience

Cows, Cacao, & Clay: An Interactive Farm & Craft Experience

Experience a unique Northern Colorado summer morning with "Cows, Cacao, & Clay"—a first-of-its-kind collaborative workshop hosted by Nuance Chocolate, Rocky Ridge Farms, and Flingin' Pots. Set on a scenic working heritage ranch just north of Fort Collins, this interactive, family-friendly event blends artisan food craftsmanship, hands-on ceramic arts, and local agriculture into a single morning.

Guests will rotate through three distinct stations:

Taste: Join the chocolate makers from Nuance Chocolate for a guided tasting flight of five premium milk and white chocolates. You'll also get a hands-on look at cacao pods and roasted beans while learning the secrets of bean-to-bar craftsmanship—plus a rare, unreleased new chocolate.

Meet: Step right into the pasture with the team from Rocky Ridge Farms to get up close with their adorable miniature Highland cows. Bring your camera to pet, brush, feed, and snap photos with the cattle.

Touch: Get your hands dirty with the mobile pottery instructors from Flingin' Pots. Under expert guidance, you’ll work with raw clay to mold and sculpt a custom miniature Highland cow figurine. Your creation will be taken back to their studio to be professionally high-fired and ready for pickup one month later.

Important Event Details: To keep group sizes small and the pasture interactions low-stress for the animals, space is strictly limited to 25 guests per session. Staggered entry times are available at 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM.

Please note that this is an outdoor ranch experience with no public restrooms available on-site. Dedicated hand-washing stations and sanitizer will be provided. All ages are welcome, but every attendee must have a paid ticket to participate.
