GAIA strives to give light to various cultures and issues around the world, and we decided it was best you heard from people from these cultures or who are learning about these cultures.
Join us as we host an evening of games, activities, snacks, and drinks from various cultures. We will be discussing peoples' experiences in interacting with different cultures, and how their own background has influenced and affected them.
The event will be held in CSU's Behavioral Sciences Building, in Room 107.

Who doesn’t love a great pizza? Tonight we’ll take pizza creation to another level. Join us in the Ginger and Baker Teaching Kitchen as you learn all the ins and outs of making a delicious pizza. From crispy, chewy crust to learning two fast sauce options, you can’t go wrong with this class. Plus, learn how to create a gorgeous salad to go with your pizza and a delicious lemon posset for dessert!

Jazz Ensembles I and II, directed by Wil Swindler and Darren Kramer, are joined by NYC jazz guitarist Jonathan Kreisberg. The groups perform original music by Johnathan Kreisberg, as well as arrangements of standard jazzrepertoire; the concert also features a new piece by Wil Swindler.
New York City jazz composer and guitarist, Jonathan Kreisberg has been steadily building his name as one of the most compelling composer/performers in jazz. Combining timeless melodicism with forward thinking lines and textures, his style and approach has created a strong following of fans around the world. He frequently tours worldwide and records with his own groups as well as with artists like Dr. Lonnie Smith, who said, "[Kreisberg] is a passionate musician with great vision, and he is constantly in fiery pursuit of innovation."

Overview
Dr. Andrew Lynge’s debut solo album, Alchemy: Music for Solo Percussion and Fixed Media, was released in 2024 on the Equilibrium Recording Label and includes works by Russell Wharton, Alejandro Viñao, Tyler Bradley Walker, and John Psathas. He leads the internationally acclaimed UA Percussion Ensemble, winners of the 2020 and 2024 PAS International Percussion Ensemble Competitions, the highest honor received by a university percussion ensemble. As an international percussionist, Dr. Lynge has performed and presented in countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Italy, South Korea, and Thailand.
Dr. Lynge is a founding member of Epoch Percussion, a percussion quartet who has gained a national reputation as concerto soloists with top wind bands in the United States. With over a dozen concerto performances, Epoch Percussion have been featured soloists with the Dallas Winds, The University of Texas at Austin Wind Ensemble, The University of Alabama Wind Ensemble, Columbus State University Wind Ensemble, Kennesaw State University Wind Ensemble, Las Vegas Academy of the Arts Wind Ensemble, and the World Youth Wind Symphony at the Interlochen Arts Camp. Tim Diovanni, from The Dallas Morning News, states, “The Epoch Percussion Quartet, made up of Cory Fica, Nigel Fernandez, Oni Lara, and Andrew Lynge, combined rhythmic precision with nonstop energy.”

Overview
On April 29th we will have a special Shim Sham and Mama Stew class taught by Sophia.
The Shim Sham is a line dance that started out as a tap dance in the 1920's. It was later adopted and modified by swing dancers as a line dance that community members could dance together.
It consists of a series of jazz steps and it is a very beginner friendly line dance.
You will find the Shim Sham performed at many of your local swing dances and, well, it's just fun.

We will be charging students $10 for individual classes and $15 if you take both.
We take Venmo (@NoCo-SwingDance ) or cash or check on or before the first night of the class. Please arrive early so we can get you checked in. Also, if you know you will be attending, please email us so we can get a head count at [email protected]. We would like to know if you would like to lead or follow and which class you would like to attend.
Feel free to park in the back lot/bank parking - after 6pm is FREE.
We ask that you wear light color sole shoes (or dance in socks) to protect this historic floor.
Please do not show if you are feeling ill since this is a social and partner dance. We do not require that you are vaccinated but it is highly recommended.
Please remember that NoCo Swing Dance is a very beginner friendly community, and we love new dancers.
No partner is ever needed.

Often we feel stuck in painful habits of thought, and our mind seems to us to be fixed and hard to change. But, Buddha's teachings reveal that the inflexible, limited mind we normally relate to doesn't really exist - and our mind is boundless. This is great news! It means we can break free and uncover our limitless potential for joyful transformation through the practice of increasing our wisdom.

“THE BROKEN HEARTS " are a nationally touring Tom Petty tribute band hailing from Gainesville, Florida and the only Petty tribute band who has direct ties to Tom Petty. The Broken Hearts were created in 2017 by former Tom Petty and Mudcrutch bandmate, bassist Charlie Souza. Charlie has also worked with other legendary songwriters such as Greg Allman, Vanilla Fudge and The New Rascals. Along with singer/songwriter Shawn Scheller (Save The Radio!) Charlie and Shawn have assembled a core group of pro musicians that most accurately captures the "live" concert experience of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

Overview
Join us in the Teaching Kitchen for an evening on the Baja California Sur as we share some of Chef Deb’s favorite recipes from Mexico here at G&B! Bring a friend or make new ones here in the TK as we learn some great skills while creating a meal we can all sit down and enjoy together.

Take-Aways:
Hands-on instruction by a Ginger and Baker Chef Instructor
A recipe packet with all the menu items from class
Enjoy a meal of the items you cooked at the end of class
Policies
Teaching Kitchen Class and In-House Event tickets are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule up to one week before your booked event, please contact us to transfer your ticket to a different event. Within one week of your class, we can only offer a transfer if we are able to re-sell the tickets, as product has already been purchased. In the case of emergency, please contact us at (970) 286-0503 or [email protected] and we will do our best to accommodate.
If you would like to transfer your tickets to a different guest, please forward your email confirmation to them and ensure they check in with the name and email address used to purchase the tickets.
We reserve the right to cancel due to low attendance, inclement weather, or emergency. We will notify all participants by email at least 24 hours prior to the event to let you know of cancellations, and you will have the option to be refunded to the original payment method, or to apply your ticket price to another class or event.
Please let us know if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions. We will do our best to accommodate but may not be able to change certain menu items.
We request that participants wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes, hair pulled back, and clothes they don’t mind getting a little messy. If you wish to sit with a certain person or group, please note the names of your other party members in the appropriate field at checkout. Guests will be seated in groups of 4-6, parties will be combined. We cannot accommodate requests to work in groups of less than 4.
A server will be available in the room to order food and drinks from our Café menu. For guests 21+ with proper photo ID, drinks are available during class from our Café bar.
This class is intended for adults, ages 18+. Guests aged 14-18 may be admitted if accompanied by an adult and with permission from the Teaching Kitchen Coordinator to if the class is appropriate for participants under 18.

Overview
Phoneboy’s third album, Heartbreak Designer, out in April 2025, is the next chapter for the indie-rock group, blending their signature infectious energy with a more refined, introspective sound. Following the success of Moving Out, the album explores love, loss, and self-discovery, marking a new level of depth in their songwriting and production.
Formed in 2018 by Wyn Barnum, Ricky Dana, and James Fusco, Phoneboy started as three college friends making music in a scene with little space for indie rock. What began as campus shows soon turned into packed venues, millions of streams, and a reputation for high-energy performances. After years of playing alongside the band, longtime friend Jordan Torres officially joined on keys and vocals, bringing a fresh dynamic to their sound.
“This is the most complete record we’ve made,” says the band. “It’s still us at the core, but we pushed ourselves further creatively.” Produced in Brooklyn with Ayad Al Adhamy, Heartbreak Designer builds on the band’s hook-driven style while experimenting with new textures and influences. Lead single “I Look Alive” has already made waves, landing in Sirius XM/Alt Nation’s Top 18 and setting the stage for the full release.
With this record, Phoneboy isn’t just evolving—they’re defining their place in the indie rock landscape. Catch them on tour this year as they bring Heartbreak Designer to life on stage.

KRFC 88.9 FM invites the Northern Colorado community to a special Community Open House — a relaxed, drop‑in event offering a behind‑the‑scenes look at what community‑powered radio looks like in 2026.
This “come when you can, leave when you have to” gathering welcomes local residents, businesses, supporters, and anyone curious about how KRFC brings music, stories, and local voices to the airwaves every day.

Live@Lunch Studio Access: Step inside our live performance studio and see how we broadcast live music each weekday.
Meet the DJs: Connect with the passionate volunteers who curate KRFC’s unique blend of music, storytelling, and community programming.

Policies
Teaching Kitchen Class and In-House Event tickets are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule up to one week before your booked event, please contact us to transfer your ticket to a different event. Within one week of your class, we can only offer a transfer if we are able to re-sell the tickets, as product has already been purchased. In the case of emergency, please contact us at (970) 286-0503 or [email protected] and we will do our best to accommodate.
If you would like to transfer your tickets to a different guest, please forward your email confirmation to them and ensure they check in with the name and email address used to purchase the tickets.
We reserve the right to cancel due to low attendance, inclement weather, or emergency. We will notify all participants by email at least 24 hours prior to the event to let you know of cancellations, and you will have the option to be refunded to the original payment method, or to apply your ticket price to another class or event.
Please let us know if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions. We will do our best to accommodate but may not be able to change certain menu items.
We request that participants wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes, hair pulled back, and clothes they don’t mind getting a little messy. If you wish to sit with a certain person or group, please note the names of your other party members in the appropriate field at checkout. Guests will be seated in groups of 4-6, parties will be combined. We cannot accommodate requests to work in groups of less than 4.
A server will be available in the room to order food and drinks from our Café menu. For guests 21+ with proper photo ID, drinks are available during class from our Café bar.
This class is intended for adults, ages 18+. Guests aged 14-18 may be admitted if accompanied by an adult and with permission from the Teaching Kitchen Coordinator to if the class is appropriate for participants under 18.

St. Peter’s Signature Row School
This two-day course is designed to teach you the fundamentals of rowing.
Whether you want to guide others while fishing, improve your river safety skills, or simply learn the basic rowing strokes, this class will be tailored to each student's needs
Day 1
This six-hour session (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM) takes place at Horsetooth Reservoir, where you'll learn the basics— including rowing strokes, boat handling, and hands-on time behind the oars in a drift boat on flatwater.
-Dial in oar strokes
-Work through safety protocol
-Get comfortable with communication on the boat
-Work on boat positioning
Day 2
This six-hour session (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) takes place on the Poudre River and focuses on rowing a raft through smaller, technical whitewater while building the skills needed to navigate it confidently. We'll complete two runs through the lower canyon, from the Filter Plant to Picnic Rock.
-Learn the technical facets to staying in a line
-Reading whitewater
-Learning more advanced oar strokes
-Safety!
By the end of the course, you’ll have hands-on experience rowing both a hard boat and a soft boat in a variety of water conditions—giving you a solid foundation to build your skills on.

Policies
Teaching Kitchen Class and In-House Event tickets are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule up to one week before your booked event, please contact us to transfer your ticket to a different event. Within one week of your class, we can only offer a transfer if we are able to re-sell the tickets, as product has already been purchased. In the case of emergency, please contact us at (970) 286-0503 or [email protected] and we will do our best to accommodate.
If you would like to transfer your tickets to a different guest, please forward your email confirmation to them and ensure they check in with the name and email address used to purchase the tickets.
We reserve the right to cancel due to low attendance, inclement weather, or emergency. We will notify all participants by email at least 24 hours prior to the event to let you know of cancellations, and you will have the option to be refunded to the original payment method, or to apply your ticket price to another class or event.
Please let us know if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions. We will do our best to accommodate but may not be able to change certain menu items.
We request that participants wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes, hair pulled back, and clothes they don’t mind getting a little messy. If you wish to sit with a certain person or group, please note the names of your other party members in the appropriate field at checkout. Guests will be seated in groups of 4-6, parties will be combined. We cannot accommodate requests to work in groups of less than 4.
A server will be available in the room to order food and drinks from our Café menu. For guests 21+ with proper photo ID, drinks are available during class from our Café bar.

Overview
"Possibilities" is a solo exhibition presented by Michael Safran at the Cornerstone Gallery from March 7th - May 2nd, 2026. Safran shares:
Originally from the Great Lakes region, I have lived in the Rocky Mountains for over 22 years currently home in Northern Colorado. I love the wilderness and timeless spirit of the ancient land along with the myriad subtle forms to be found in the unadulterated landscape. The lines and feelings in my artwork develop naturally here. Yet, the geometry of the urban spaces and assimilating varying perspectives are vital to my seeing as well. I’m always learning, re-inventing and seeking new input and experience on this ever unfolding creative journey. My art is about communication that helps transform our reality, shapes unique perspectives, expresses the One, and opens up a greater awareness of the possibilities. It is an integral part of both my own and other’s evolution.
The possibilities in my artwork are always expanding and evolving. My creative source is like the center of a wheel with spokes that reach out to all areas of life: literature, philosophy, history, science, nature and mythology. As the artist I seek nourishment and inspiration from the whole. The journey and process of learning and growing itself serves as the incentive and inspiration. My handmade acrylic paintings are the fruit of my attention and experience.
My painting is intrinsically related to music, as sound and rhythm help create the vision and movement. I believe the eyes and ears are close in communication. The paintings are composed in a similar way as songs. There is a natural mathematic in music that lends itself well to patterns on the canvas.
Artist bio:
I’ve lived in the Rocky Mountains since 2003. The mountains teach me an appreciation for the unadulterated wilderness, quiet, and possibility that stems from an expanded sense of time and space. The forms and feelings in my artwork directly result from paying attention to the natural world. There is an inherent creativity and sense of renewal that keeps the mind open to new ideas and ways of expressing the true self of the artist. My acrylic paintings are handmade, one of a kind, and original to my own mind. As a fusion of archetypal form and idea, they are inspired by the pure geometry of nature and music.

Learn to prepare perfect sushi rice, master the art of rolling, and create a variety of sushi including traditional favorites and creative rolls. This class is perfect for beginners and experienced home cooks alike, offering a fun and interactive culinary adventure.
Optional Sake Pairing: This class can be booked with or without the sake pairing. Enjoy carefully selected sakes chosen to complement each dish when you choose the pairing. Participation in the sake pairing is optional and requires a separate ticket.

Grab a date, bring a friend or make new friends here in the Teaching Kitchen as we spend an evening creating some of our favorite Native American dishes from the southwest!

VIP Deck Seating

Join me for a yoga workshop at the wonderful Fox Den: No Waste Cafe & Roastery here in Fort Collins on Saturday, May 2nd from 6:30pm-8:30pm.
This workshop's theme is Moving Through the Chakras. The night will consist of breathwork, mindfulness, yoga, and an herbal tea ceremony.
We’ll explore the chakras in a really approachable, grounded way. This is less about getting everything “right” and more about tuning into your body and noticing what you feel. We’ll move through a gentle, all-levels flow, pausing along the way to bring awareness to each energy center. There will be simple breathwork woven in to help you drop in, soften, and create a little more space—physically and mentally. We’ll finish with a cozy herbal tea ceremony, with blends I’ve put together to support the themes of the practice. It’s a chance to slow down, reflect, and just be for a bit before heading back into your day.
No experience with chakras (or yoga) needed—just come as you are.

Celebrate National Fitness Day with a FREE elevated group workout experience in partnership with F45—where functional training meets community connection.
Join us for a dynamic, coach-led session designed to challenge, energize, and bring people together through movement. F45’s globally recognized training style blends HIIT, circuit training, and functional strength exercises into a fast-paced, full-body workout that’s both effective and accessible for all fitness levels. Expect a mix of cardio, resistance, and hybrid movements—all thoughtfully programmed to keep things fresh, engaging, and results-driven.
This is more than just a workout—it’s an opportunity to connect with your community, push your limits, and experience the energy of training together.

Blues Behind Bars Fundraiser!
Blues Behind Bars is both a band and a non-profit organization. Starting in 2009 BBB began playing concerts in Colorado prisons, has toured the Nebraska prisons system and written many songs with inmates. Our mission is to build bridges through the arts, we want to bring life enrichment through art that is entertaining and inspiring. We are about to beginning digital distribution to prisons all across the United States. Check us out on YouTube and please join us on May 2 as we perform songs written behind bars along with some of the classic Blues that shaped American pop music!

Standing room only along the concourse of the venue. Food and Drink service is available self-service from the bar area. Bowling is available for purchase on a first come, first served basis day of show. Special concert bowling pricing is unlimited bowling for the duration of the show for $15.45 + shoe rental. Full restaurant service available.
When you reserve your ticket in advance for one of our donation based concerts, you get your choice of a free Odell Brewing Co. draft beer, soda, or basket of fries. Show your ticket reservation to your bartender to redeem your free item! Only valid with ticket reservation in advance, limit one deal per person

St. Peter's Fly Shop South, Signature Fly Fishing School, Saturday May 2nd, 9AM-5PM, $175
St. Peter’s Signature Fly Fishing School focuses on building a strong foundation for any novice angler to work from. We work to create a deeper understanding of trout, their environment and the equipment used during this course, to ensure an enjoyable and fun learning experience for all. With so many resources at our disposal, trying to learn online or from videos can be extremely overwhelming.
With 4 hours of classroom instruction from our professional guides, followed by 4 hours of on the water instruction, this class ensures that you will hit the water by yourself with confidence. This is a great class for any aspiring or beginning angler as we focus on the fundamentals necessary to go out and find success on your own.
You will learn fly selection, seasonal phases, equipment, knots and much more, while also being able to utilize and understand these techniques better, with actual time on the water. Fly Fishing School is an 8-hour day including a lunch from Yampa Sandwich Company. Students may sign up in store, over the phone, or online.
*Please note, during our on water session in the afternoon, we use yarn rather than flies to focus on fundamentals and learning.

St, Peter's Fly Shop South, Intro to Fly Fishing Class, Sunday May 3rd, 12PM-4PM, $125
St. Peter’s Intro to Fly Fishing is a class designed to introduce new anglers to the absolute fundamentals of fly fishing. We understand that there is a lot of conflicting information out there in regard to fly fishing basics and how to do things. Most of this information will simply over complicate things for the beginning angler. Our Introduction to Fly Fishing class will take out the guess work and give you the need-to-know information all beginning fly anglers should have. During this 4-hour session we will cover fly fishing terminology, fly selection, equipment, knots, rigging and the basics of fly casting. All equipment is included in the sign-up cost.
*In most cases, this class will be held partially indoors in our classroom at St. Peter's South location. The casting portion will be outside. A maximum of 10 students will be allowed per class. You are welcome bring your own fly rod if one is available to you.

Join us for the 1st Sunday's Fireside event series at the CSU Environmental Learning Center. It is an engaging, family-friendly event held on the first Sunday of each month. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon outdoors with nature activities, crafts, and time around the campfire. Each month features a unique theme designed to help families connect with nature and one another.
The cost for the event is $5 per adult and $3 per child; we can only accept cash! You may pay upon arrival! Also, pets are not allowed at the event; service animals are welcome!
Members and their families may attend for free!

Overview
Shinrin-yoku is a Japanese wellness practice that means “bathing in the forest atmosphere.” It’s simply being in nature—with all five senses awake.
Proven health benefits of forest bathing include:
Decreased stress: Cortisol levels drop significantly after even 20 minutes in nature.
Lower blood pressure and heart rate: Helps regulate the nervous system.
Better sleep and less fatigue: Especially in those with high baseline stress.
Enhanced immunity: A two-hour forest walk boosts Natural Killer (NK) cell activity, with effects lasting up to 30 days- NK cells help fight viruses and cancer.
Join certified Forest Therapy Guide Alyssa Golinvaux for an introductory and experiential Forest Bathing workshop. You’ll spend time learning the basic principles, get to partake in a “bath,” and will finish with tea to re-gather and share experiences with the group.
Alyssa is a multi-passionate wellness guide with a deep belief in the power of intentional living and connection to nature. With a background as a licensed massage therapist, registered nurse, yoga teacher (RYT-200), and certified KonMari® Consultant, she brings a uniquely holistic lens to healing and self-discovery. Based in Fort Collins, Alyssa is certified as a Forest Therapy Guide with The Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT). She sees nature as a powerful antidote to the disconnection so common in Western culture, and believes that grounding ourselves in natural beauty, presence, and joy can spark meaningful transformation.

St. Peter's Fly Shop, On Water Euro Nymph Class, Sunday May 3rd, 9am-1pm, $100
Although one of the most effective ways to catch fish, nymphing also tends to be one of the most technical ways to catch fish. This class focues on Euro Nymphing techniques and it's intricacies. All materials for rigging are included in the signup cost. For an efficient learning experience, classes are limited to 6 students. This 4 hour on-water class will cover several different nymphing strategies with hands-on training including rigging, casting, reading water, how and when to adjust, and when to fish suspended rigs or tight-line approaches. When it comes to nymph fishing, even the slightest adjustment can be the difference between a bent rod or a slack line. We are excited to see you there!

Open Casting Call for Animal Farm: America, a satirical American allegory
Seeking actors, singers, dancers ages 14 and up; audition for any combination of acting, singing & dancing roles
Actors: Sides available at the audition; Optional - prepare a 1 minute or less portion of an inspirational speech such as Lincoln's Gettysburg Address or a Martin Luther King Jr. speech
Dancers: choreography taught at audition @ 4-5 pm
Singers: Prepare 16 bars of a song and bring accompaniment that can be plugged into a stereo system

Overview
Join us in The Teaching Kitchen as we bond with family and friends over fun Mexican-inspired recipes that you can easily recreate at home for years to come. Grab your partner or come and meet new friends in the Teaching Kitchen! You will learn fresh new techniques and enjoy a great meal.

Hands-on instruction from a Ginger and Baker Chef Instructor.
A recipe packet with all the menu items from class.
Enjoy a meal of the items you cooked at the end of class.
Policies
Teaching Kitchen Class and In-House Event tickets are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule up to one week before your booked event, please contact us to transfer your ticket to a different event. Within one week of your class, we can only offer a transfer if we are able to re-sell the tickets, as product has already been purchased. In the case of emergency, please contact us at (970) 286-0503 or [email protected] and we will do our best to accommodate.
If you would like to transfer your tickets to a different guest, please forward your email confirmation to them and ensure they check in with the name and email address used to purchase the tickets.
We reserve the right to cancel due to low attendance, inclement weather, or emergency. We will notify all participants by email at least 24 hours prior to the event to let you know of cancellations, and you will have the option to be refunded to the original payment method, or to apply your ticket price to another class or event.
Please let us know if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions. We will do our best to accommodate but may not be able to change certain menu items.
We request that participants wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes, hair pulled back, and clothes they don’t mind getting a little messy. If you wish to sit with a certain person or group, please note the names of your other party members in the appropriate field at checkout. Guests will be seated in groups of 4-6, parties will be combined. We cannot accommodate requests to work in groups of less than 4.
A server will be available in the room to order food and drinks from our Café menu. For guests 21+ with proper photo ID, drinks are available during class from our Café bar.
This class is intended for adults, ages 18+. Guests aged 14-18 may be admitted if accompanied by an adult and with permission from the Teaching Kitchen Coordinator to if the class is appropriate for participants under 18.
