What You Will Be Doing • Facilitating adaptive reading workshops focused on building core competencies in phonics, fluency, and comprehension • Creating personalized motivational experiences that engage students and foster a lifelong passion for reading • Reviewing student performance data to iteratively improve instructional methods and identify meaningful insights • Partnering with the technology team to assess and improve AI-powered literacy tools What You Won’t Be Doing • Following pre-scripted curricula or published scope-and-sequence frameworks Literacy Specialist Key Responsibilities Cultivate a passion for reading in young learners Basic Requirements • Bachelor's degree • Master's degree or advanced certification in reading instruction (such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent) • Minimum of 2 years delivering small-group reading interventions to early elementary students • Capable of assessing reading proficiency, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction independently of pre-written curricula • Experienced with AI/adaptive learning platforms and able to respond effectively to student interactions within them • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship • Available to work on-site at one of our campuses: Palo Alto, CA; San Francisco, CA; Santa Monica, CA; Chicago, IL; New York City, NY; Chantilly (Washington), VA About Alpha Want to join a learning rebellion that’s transforming the traditional classroom?
