Dietary Aide/Server - Retirement Community - Weekend availability required.
Schedule:
Weekday and Weekend availability is mandatory.
Responsibilities Include:
• Accurately completes ticket orders manually for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.
• Busses the tables and setting them after the resident and their guest(s) leave.
• Ensures the tables tops and chairs are clean and set up properly.
• Maintains dining room organization and cleanliness.
• Completes own side-work and then assists other servers and kitchen staff with their duties when needed.
• Learns resident’s names and assists with resident’s dining charting.
• Assists with delivering apartment trays as needed and may be asked to use a two-way radio.
• Assists with removing walkers from dining area to an approved location. This meets safety requirements.
• Assisting in meal preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, plating dishes, and setting up the dining areas.
• Serving meals to residents in a friendly and compassionate manner, respecting their dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Assisting with inventory control and receiving of food supplies.
• Collaborating with the dietary team to provide feedback and insights on meal satisfaction and suggestions from residents.

Qualifications:
• Prior experience in a food service role in a healthcare or senior living setting is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team, showing respect and compassion for residents and staff.
• Availability to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
