Position Overview The Dispatcher is responsible for managing incoming calls, scheduling service appointments, and coordinating communication between customers and technicians. This is a fast-paced, communication-heavy role that keeps the entire daily operation running efficiently. What Success Looks Like ● Calls are answered promptly and professionally ● The daily schedule runs smoothly with minimal gaps or confusion ● Technicians always know where they’re going and what they’re doing ● Customers feel informed and taken care of ● The day stays organized, even when things change What You’ll Do ● Answer incoming customer calls and respond to inquiries ● Schedule and coordinate plumbing service appointments ● Communicate updates with customers and technicians ● Adjust the schedule throughout the day as needed ● Maintain accurate and organized job information ● Create and send customer invoices in a timely manner using QuickBooks based on completed jobs What This Job Is Like ● Fast-paced with frequent interruptions ● Requires multitasking and quick decision-making ● You are the central communication point for the business ● Every day is a little different What We’re Looking For ● Strong communication and phone skills ● Calm and organized under pressure ● Able to multitask and prioritize effectively ● Reliable and accountable ● Comfortable taking ownership of the daily schedule Nice to Have (Not Required) ● Experience in dispatching, scheduling, or customer service ● Experience in home services (plumbing, HVAC, etc.) ● Familiarity with scheduling or CRM software This Role Is NOT ● A bookkeeping or accounting position ● A slow or low-activity office job ● A passive admin role with repetitive tasks ● A “do everything” office position This Role May Not Be a Good Fit If You ● Prefer quiet or highly predictable work environments ● Struggle with interruptions or shifting priorities ● Dislike phone-based communication ● Prefer highly repetitive, task-based work Our Goal Keep the schedule organized and running smoothly so technicians can stay productive in the field while delivering a great customer experience.
