Costume Designer – Boulder

Safety Standards (required): Our company uses the Community Standards for Theatre for Colorado Rocky Mountain Theatre for Kids (Boulder) is looking for a costume designer for 5 shows in Boulder this summer! We are looking for a designer for two (2) older company 2 week summer camp productions (Descendants JR & High School Musical JR) and three (3) younger company 2 week summer camp productions (Lilo & Stitch, K-POP Demon Hunters, & The Greatest Showman). Dates: Descendants JR July 2 | | 4:15-5:15pm | Production Meeting (Zoom) July 13 | 10am | Measurements July 20 | 10am | Fittings July 20 | 2-5pm | Designer Run July 22 | 9am-4pm | Tech (Not required) July 23 | 9am-4pm | Dress 1 July 24 | 9am-4pm | Dress 2 July 25 | 12pm / 4pm | Show 1 / Show 2 July 25 | Post Show | Strike High School Musical JR July 16 | | 4:15-5:15pm | Production Meeting (Zoom) July 27 | 10am | Measurements August 3 | 10am | Fittings August 3 | 2-5pm | Designer Run August 5 | 9am-4pm | Tech (Not required) August 6 | 9am-4pm | Dress 1 August 7 | 9am-2pm | Dress 2 August 8 | 12pm / 4pm | Show 1 / Show 2 August 8 | Post Show | Strike Lilo & Stitch June 15 | 9am | Measurements June 25 | 1-3:30pm | Dress 1 June 26 | 9-11am | Dress 2 June 26 | 6pm | Performance June 26 | Post Show | Strike K-POP Demon Hunters July 29 | 9am | Measurements July 8 | 1-3:30pm | Dress 1 July 9 | 9-11am | Dress 2 July 9 | 6pm | Performance July 9 | Post Show | Strike The Greatest Showman July 20 | 9am | Measurements July 30 | 1-3:30pm | Dress 1 July 31| 9-11am | Dress 2 July 31 | 6pm | Performance July 31 | Post Show | Strike Responsibilities: -Implement and create costume design for shows in the attached schedule. -Build and deliver all costumes for shows in the attached schedule. -Submit sketches for costume designs within 1 week of production meeting with director if requested -Take and track measurements for all students. -Fit students and be responsible for costume care and fitting of costumes during all dress rehearsals and performances as listed in attached schedule. -Attend meetings with director to discuss creative vision and to review what has been accomplished. -Work with a costume budget and report spending via the RMTK Expense Log to business manager at the end of each session. -Take personal financial liability for all unauthorized purchases beyond the budget. -Wash or drop off for wash at RMTK recommended laundromat and restock all costumes back into the costume room. -Work hours are flexible except measurements, costume fittings, dress rehearsals, and performance times. -Participate in strike after closing and complete strike duties within 1 week of closing Location: 5311 Western Ave, Ste. 135, Boulder, CO 80301 Pay: Older Company Shows – $800 Younger Company Shows – $450 Please contact our production manager, Logan Brubaker at [email protected].
