Job Summary
Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists of Arapahoe is currently seeking a self-motivated, hard-working individual as a Mobile Wheel Repair Technician for north Denver and northern Colorado areas.
We are currently offering a $1,000 bonus for experienced mobile wheel repair technicians, after 90 days with the company. We will also train the right individual. Training pay is $20.00 per hour (no commission during training). After the training period, if necessary, pay will be changed to commission-based with a rate of 30% of revenue generated, with no cap/max. Weekly revenue is expected to be $3,000 to $5,000.
The Mobile Wheel Repair Technician will operate out of a mobile reconditioning trailer and service car dealerships, used car lots, collision shops, tire stores, automotive specialty business, and the general public, to perform cosmetic wheel repair and straightening. The typical repair takes about one hour per wheel.
We are seeking candidates that are self-motivated, problem solvers, mechanically inclined and have good attention to detail.
As this person will be based in an established territory, however you will be expected to call on and visit new potential customers in your area. We provide promotional materials to make these conversations easier and the majority of potential new customers are already looking for a company to partner with.
Job Responsibilities:
• Repair damaged wheels using automotive spray-painting equipment, power tools and work aids, utilizing specific surface preparation and painting techniques
• Inspect wheels to be painted for repair, prepping and/or buffing defects
• Mix to specified color using standard formulas or color cards
• Sand, mask, blend, and polish finish. Apply or retouch paint as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e., provide technical assistance to helpers, orient and train new employees, etc.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of auto prep or painting experience and/or collision repair technical school training preferred
• Demonstrated mechanical skills
• Self-starter and can work independently
• Great organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Excellent communication skills; must be able to sell our services
• Clean driving record
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
