Full Time Medical Assistant

K2 Dermatology is hiring a Full Time Medical Assistant to join our team! We are a local, independent Dermatology practice in Boulder, Colorado. Serving the Boulder community for over 20 years in the same location, K2 Dermatology has become a pillar of first rate clinical care in the Front Range. K2 Dermatology is a teaching clinic, meaning that our Medical Assistants get to be a part of every patient's entire visit. We provide the perfect environment for post-graduate students to gain clinical experience while applying to Medical, PA, or Nursing School, with exceptional mentorship, resources, and an extremely powerful letter of recommendation for those that thrive in a clinical environment. Job duties include: • Greeting and rooming patients • Recording medical history and chief complaint • Setting up/cleaning up dermatological procedures • Scribing chart notes during the visit • Assisting in dermatological procedures • Prior authorization and various other patient paperwork • Scheduling follow-up visits • Patient communication, including reporting biopsy results • Submitting prescriptions and referrals for patients The perfect candidate will: • have a basic general knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology • be organized and detail-oriented • be compassionate and caring • have a strong work ethic • have strong communication and computer skills • strive to learn and be eager to grow • work well on a very intimate team Our full time medical staff work 4 days per week, no late nights or weekends ever. Typical work days are between 9 and 10 hours.
