Happy Monday, Boulder! šŸŒž

There’s something brewing this week—and it’s not just what’s in your glass. A little history, a little tradition, and a whole lot of local flavor are coming together in a way that feels very… Boulder. Keep reading, because this one ties past, present, and your next pint together perfectly.

What’s Happenin’ is growing — want to join us?

Last month our local newsletters across Boulder, Arvada, Fort Collins, Longmont, and Denver were opened 177,000+ times by locals looking for things to do and places to go.

As we continue to grow, I’m looking to add one or two people to help with partnerships with local businesses.

If you love supporting local businesses and want to help grow these newsletters, just reply to this email and tell me a little about yourself.

šŸ» Brewed at Altitude: Where History Meets Your Next Pint

šŸ» Brewed at Altitude: Where History Meets Your Next Pint

Before Boulder had craft breweries on every corner, beer was already shaping Colorado in a big way—and this event dives straight into that story.

šŸ“ Museum of Boulder
šŸ—“ļø Monday, April 27
ā° 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
šŸŽŸļø $0–$20

This isn’t just a lecture—it’s a full-on journey through Colorado’s beer legacy.

  • šŸŗ From gold rush saloons (that doubled as post offices, hotels, and hangouts)

  • 🚫 To early prohibition laws that shut it all down

  • šŸ”„ To the craft beer explosion that put Colorado on the global map

Led by historians (and certified beer lovers) Sam Bock and Jason Hanson, this is the kind of storytelling that somehow makes your next drink taste even better.

šŸ‘‰ Think: history class… but way more fun, and with a pint waiting on the other side.

🄃 Then Comes Pint Day…

Just two days later, the story continues—this time in real life.

šŸ—“ļø Wednesday, April 29 = Colorado Pint Day

It’s basically a statewide celebration where breweries drop limited-edition pint glasses (yes, the collectible kind), and $1 from each one supports Colorado’s craft beer scene.

šŸ» Where to celebrate in Boulder:

This is the kind of midweek plan that turns into ā€œjust one drinkā€ → ā€œwhy not check one more spot?ā€
