🐐 Meet Rocky — Your New Official Mascot

The votes are in — and our mischievous little goat finally has a name! After a spirited showdown, Rocky walked away with the crown (probably because he head-butted the competition).

From here on out, you’ll see Rocky popping up in guides, polls, recs, and the occasional chaotic adventure. Thanks to everyone who voted — you’ve officially shaped the future of our tiny hooved troublemaker.

Rocky says hi. And also: “Where’s the snacks?” 🐐💥

Boulder Awards $5M+ to Local Nonprofits for 2026

Boulder just approved over $5 million in grants to support local nonprofits next year, with funding coming from two major city programs: the Health Equity Fund and the Human Services Fund.

The breakdown:

  • $3.04M from the Health Equity Fund (powered by Boulder’s sugar tax)

  • $1.99M from the Human Services Fund

Who received the biggest boosts:

  • Clinica Family Health & Wellness — more than $293K (HEF) + $500K (HSF)

  • Boulder County Farmers Market — over $254K (HEF)

Both funds support programs focused on health, economic equity, housing, and community wellbeing.

It’s one of Boulder’s largest annual investments in local organizations working to improve quality of life — and the 2026 dollars are already on their way.
