Boulder’s Earth Day Plans Just Got Elevated 🌎
🌎 Boulder’s Earth Day Hits Different Tonight
Happy Wednesday! 🌞
There’s something about today that feels a little more intentional—like the city slows down just enough to appreciate what’s around us. But if you think Earth Day is just about hikes and reusable bags, you’re missing the real story. Keep reading to find out where Boulder is actually gathering tonight 👇
What’s Happenin’ is growing — want to join us?
Last month our local newsletters across Boulder, Arvada, Fort Collins, Longmont, and Denver were opened 275,000+ times by locals looking for things to do and places to go.
As we continue to grow, I’m looking to add one or two people to help with partnerships with local businesses.
If you love supporting local businesses and want to help grow these newsletters, just reply to this email and tell me a little about yourself.
Boulder’s Earth Day Has a Main Character Tonight 🌎🎤
If Boulder were going to throw an Earth Day party, of course it would involve big ideas, good food, and a room full of people who actually care. This year’s lineup gives you two very different ways to celebrate—one with stories and community, the other with a seriously good dinner. Either way, your Wednesday night just got a lot more interesting.
eTown’s 35th b’Earthday with Lakshmi Singh
Some Earth Day events ask you to plant a tree. This one invites you to sit inside one of Boulder’s most beloved institutions and hear how it all got built in the first place.
eTown is celebrating its 35th b’Earthday tonight, and instead of the usual format, the tables are officially turning. Nick Forster—normally the one asking the questions—will be in the guest seat alongside Helen, while acclaimed NPR journalist Lakshmi Singh takes over the interviewer role for a live conversation about the journey behind eTown, what it took to make it last, and what comes next.
That format flip alone makes this feel special. It’s not just another anniversary event—it’s a rare behind-the-scenes look at the people and vision that helped shape a Boulder institution rooted in music, ideas, and community.
The night also includes a short video retrospective, cake, and time to mingle with fellow eTown fans before and after the show. And because this is Boulder, yes—the café will be open for beer, wine, cocktails, and bites if you want to make a whole evening of it.
If your ideal Earth Day celebration leans thoughtful, local, and a little iconic, this is probably your move.
