Boulder’s Most Meaningful Run Is This Weekend 💛
💛 A Boulder Morning That Means More
Happy Friday, Boulder! 🌞
Some weekends are packed with plans, and some weekends remind you what community actually feels like. This one has a little bit of both — fresh air, good people, and an event that’s bringing Boulder together in a powerful way. Keep reading to find out why this Sunday morning is about much more than just crossing a finish line.
What’s Happenin’ is growing — want to join us?
Last month our local newsletters across Boulder, Arvada, Fort Collins, Longmont, and Denver were opened 275,000+ times by locals looking for things to do and places to go.
As we continue to grow, I’m looking to add one or two people to help with partnerships with local businesses.
If you love supporting local businesses and want to help grow these newsletters, just reply to this email and tell me a little about yourself.

🗳 Now Voting: Boulder’s Best Brunch
Beer had its moment. Now it’s brunch time.
We’re opening voting for Best Brunch in Boulder, celebrating the spots that turn slow mornings into a full-on ritual. Think breakfast burritos, strong coffee, patio hangs, and dishes you keep coming back for.
If there’s a place you always recommend (or secretly gatekeep), now’s the time to show it some love.
🧠 Need a brain break?
Play trivia, crosswords, and word searches built just for locals. These games aren’t just fun...they’ll test how well you actually know your city. Great for killing time, learning something new, or proving you’re the true local legend.
🍽️ Craving: Chez Thuy
A Boulder staple for pho, curries, stir-fries, and Vietnamese comfort food. Cozy, casual, and packed with options, it’s the kind of spot perfect for both quick lunches and long dinners.

🏃 Boulder Shows Up, One Step at a Time
Some runs are about finish times. This one is about showing up.
The Emerge 5K returns to Boulder Reservoir on the first Sunday of May, bringing the community together for a morning that supports youth mental health through Rise Against Suicide. The organization helps break down social and financial barriers to care by funding therapy sessions for youth under 19 who are struggling with suicidal ideation.
And while the cause is serious, the morning is built around connection, movement, and community care. Expect a 5K you can join in person or virtually, plus a silent auction, music by Kutandara, face painting, food trucks, and plenty of people showing up for something bigger than their weekend step count.
