Subaru WinterFest at Eldora (March 6–8)
Only about 40 minutes from Boulder, Eldora Mountain Resort is one of the easiest mountain day trips you can make. The scenic drive up Boulder Canyon to Nederland and Eldora winds through cliffs, rushing creek views, and pine forests before opening up to the ski area — making the journey part of the adventure.
This weekend, that mountain setting becomes the home of Subaru WinterFest, a traveling winter celebration bringing together skiing, live music, gear demos, and mountain lifestyle vibes — and the best part: the festival itself is free to attend.
Expect a lively base area filled with:
🎶 Live music performances
• The Last Revel
• SUSTO Stringband
• Cousin Curtiss
• Marvel Years
🎧 DJ sets at Caribou Lodge
🎿 Free gear demos from brands like Nordica, Never Summer, and 100%
☕ Free snacks & drinks
• JAMBAR energy snacks
• Coffee and hot cocoa at the Wilderness Cafe
• S’mores by the fire pits
🎁 Daily giveaways
Over $4,500 worth of outdoor gear prizes will be raffled off throughout the weekend.
🚗 Carpool perks
If you drive up with 3 or more people, Subaru is offering free parking (first-come, first-served).
There are also special events like community uphill meetups, DJ sets throughout the day, and live concerts in the afternoon — creating a laid-back après vibe even if you’re not skiing.
Just remember: festival access is free, but skiing or snowboarding still requires a lift ticket or pass.
For Boulder locals, Eldora is one of those rare mountain spots where you can ski a few laps, grab a hot cocoa, catch live music, and still be home before dinner.
