🎶 When the Symphony Goes Full Cowboy

Happy Friday, Boulder! đŸŒž

If you think orchestras are all whisper-quiet and sit-still serious, this weekend has other plans. A familiar Boulder stage is about to turn into something a little louder, sillier, and way more kid-approved. Trust us—this is one performance where participation is very much encouraged.

🎶 Yee-Haw! The Symphony Goes Wild West (For Kids!)

🎶 Yee-Haw! The Symphony Goes Wild West (For Kids!)

If your kids think orchestras are “quiet and serious,” this show is about to flip that script 🤠🎻 The Good, the Bad, & the Music is a laugh-out-loud, Old West–themed musical adventure where the orchestra gets literally interrupted by an outlaw—and the audience jumps right into the action.

Hosted at Dairy Arts Center, this 45-minute performance is designed for curious kids, energetic families, and first-time symphonygoers. Expect cowboy sing-alongs, clapping, kid conductors, and a whole lot of storytelling as the Sheriff of Musical Harmony tries to wrangle a very dramatic villain (armed with a recorder, no less).

🤠 What Makes It a Hit With Families

• Interactive from start to finish – kids sing, clap, conduct, and join the “posse”

• Big personalities + big laughs – it’s part concert, part musical comedy

• Sneaky learning – kiddos learn what a conductor actually does (without realizing it)

• Epic music inspired by the Wild West and beyond, including William Tell Overture, Hoe-Down, Maple Leaf Rag, and even Indiana Jones vibes

📍 Event Details

• Where: Dairy Arts Center, 2590 Walnut St, Boulder

• When: Saturday, February 7, 2026

• Time: 2:00–2:45 PM (perfect attention-span length 🙌)

• Price: $11.50–$23

If you’re looking for a kid-friendly outing that doesn’t feel like a “kids thing,” this one’s a total win. Yee-haw optional—but encouraged. 🤠🎶
