✨ Denver’s Most Magical Mile Is Back (and It’s Glowing Brighter Than Ever)
✨ Blossoms of Light: Denver’s Most Magical Mile Returns
Happy Friday, Denver!
Ben here! As a new dad, I’m suddenly measuring holiday outings by two metrics: “Is it stroller-friendly?” and “Will it get me out of the house before I lose my mind?” Blossoms of Light at the Denver Botanic Gardens checks both boxes and delivers a full mile of pure Denver holiday magic. If you’ve never been — or you go every year — this is one of those traditions that just feels good for the soul (and your camera roll).
Which rare flower famously bloomed at the Denver Botanic Gardens in 2018, drawing thousands of visitors for its… uh… unforgettable smell?

✨ Blossoms of Light: Denver’s Most Magical Mile Returns
If you’ve lived in Denver long enough, there are two holiday truths you eventually accept:
Someone will gift you peppermint bark.
And you have to walk through Blossoms of Light at least once each season — ideally with something warm in your hands.
This iconic Denver Botanic Gardens tradition is back Nov. 21 – Jan. 12, celebrating 40 years of turning York Street into a glowing, shimmering wonderland. Think: immersive light tunnels, color-changing forests, and that one section everyone always stops in to record a video “for the memories” (but also for Instagram — let’s be honest).
Here’s why you should absolutely bundle up and go:
🌈 A Mile of Pure Holiday Magic
The Gardens transform into a full sensory experience — thousands of LED lights, moody winter plant scenes, and brand-new installations for the anniversary year. Even if you’ve gone before, it never looks the same twice.
🍪 Treats, Warm Drinks & That Cozy Denver Vibe
Offshoots Café and Hive Garden Bistro serve hot cocoa, cider, cookies, and other winter goodies. Pro tip from every parent in Denver: get the kids something warm before you start the loop.

Mirada Fine Art Gallery Closing at End of the Year
Mirada Fine Art Gallery will close its doors by year’s end, the gallery announced this week. The space originally opened in Indian Hills before moving to downtown Denver in 2020.
Mirada has been a well-loved spot for contemporary Western and Indigenous art — and its closure marks the loss of another independent arts space downtown.
Opened in Indian Hills before relocating to Denver.
Known for Western, Indigenous & modern fine art.
Final day expected before Dec. 31.
Closure announcement made just 3 hours ago.
The gallery plans to share updates with collectors and artists as the transition wraps up.
🌙 Stay Bright, Denver
Thanks for reading, Denver! Whether you’re heading to Blossoms of Light for the photos, the cocoa, or because you need to burn off toddler energy like me, I hope it adds some sparkle to your week.
🎉 Trivia Answer: B) The Corpse Flower — our very own “Stinky” drew lines around the block when it bloomed!
