What’s Happenin’ is growing — want to join us?

Last month our local newsletters across Boulder, Arvada, Fort Collins, Longmont, and Denver were opened 177,000+ times by locals looking for things to do and places to go.

As we continue to grow, I’m looking to add one or two people to help with partnerships with local businesses.

If you love supporting local businesses and want to help grow these newsletters, just reply to this email and tell me a little about yourself.

Clear Creek Trail

The Clear Creek Trail is one of those routes that feels like a journey, not just a workout. Stretching about 18 miles, it connects from Denver all the way to the foothills, giving you a front-row seat to the city slowly turning into mountains.

You’ll start near the South Platte River and follow Clear Creek as it winds through neighborhoods, parks, and open space. It’s mostly paved, super rideable, and ideal whether you’re going for a casual cruise or a full send toward Golden.

And then… the payoff.

As you roll west, the views shift—industrial turns into greenways, and eventually those iconic foothill buttes start rising in front of you. By the time you hit Golden, it feels like you’ve earned your arrival.

Here’s what makes this ride worth it šŸ‘‡

  • šŸŗ Coors Brewery – The largest single-site brewery in the world. Yes, you can stop for a tour (and yes, it tastes better after a ride).

  • šŸ›ļø Colorado Railroad Museum – A surprisingly cool stop with vintage locomotives and train rides.

  • šŸŒ„ North Table Mountain Park – If you’ve got extra energy, this is where things get steep (and the views get wild).

  • šŸžļø Lookout Mountain + Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave – A legendary climb for cyclists who want to level up.

  • šŸ¦ Washington Ave stroll – Think patios, ice cream, local shops, and that old-school Western charm.

And honestly? Even if you don’t bike the full distance, hopping on a section of the trail is still a win. It’s one of those ā€œwhy don’t I do this more often?ā€ kind of experiences.
