City Defends Health Inspector After Bleach Dumping Incident
A video circulating on social media shows a Denver health inspector pouring bleach onto food belonging to Tacos Tacolorado, an unlicensed street vendor operating near Evans & Colorado Blvd. City officials say the action came after multiple citations, two cease-and-desist orders, and repeated violations involving unsafe temperatures, improper sanitation, and food being prepared in a residential kitchen.
Inspectors say they used bleach only after staff began moving food into a locked truck to avoid disposal — noting the method is legal, though rarely used. More than 145 lbs of food had already been discarded during prior inspections. The vendor has not publicly commented.

Trivia Answer: B) The reddish sandstone along the creek bed gave Cherry Creek its name — not actual cherries. Nature’s plot twist.
