Because the real third wheel… is your dog.

Fort Collins, you came through on this one. When someone asked where to take a date in Old Town without leaving the pup at home, locals started firing off recs faster than a dog sprints toward a dropped french fry.

So if you’re trying to impress someone and keep the tail wagging, here’s your go-to lineup:

💛 Ginger & Baker

The undisputed fan favorite. Great food, cozy vibes, and an entire dog menu. Yes — your dog can order. Yes — this is peak FoCo energy.

🍺 Salt Road Brewing

Laid-back, friendly, and ideal if your date likes good beer and even better dog watching. A+ patio hang.

🌿 Restaurant 415

Chill, stylish, and a classic pick for a “low pressure but still cute” date night. Pups are welcome to join the ambiance.

Mugs / Bean Cycle / Little Bird Bakeshop

For morning meetups or “coffee first, romance later,” these spots are super dog-friendly. Great patios, great people-watching, great dogs.

🌮 The Colorado Room

Casual, fun, and full of personality. Perfect for fries, laughs, and pup pets.

🍻 Penrose Taphouse, Maxline Brewing, Stodgy Brewing Co., Odell

Breweries in FoCo are basically dog parks with beer. If you want a patio hang that feels like a community, hit any of these and you’re golden.

🍔 William Oliver’s

Whiskey, bacon, good vibes, and a patio that welcomes furry third wheels. Enough said.

🥙 Tasty Harmony

For plant-based dates with pups who also enjoy some herbal enlightenment.

🐾 Schneider’s Schnitzel Service

Apparently dogs are always welcome here — and honestly, the enthusiasm sold us.

Want to score points on your next date?

Just choose a place where your dog gets as much attention as your date. Trust FoCo locals: that’s the real win.

Parents Push for Safety Review at Busy School Intersection

Parents at Ridgeview Classical Schools say the Lemay & Stuart intersection is getting too dangerous, with kids on bikes reportedly “clipped” by cars.

Why it matters: The school sits beside one of FoCo’s fastest-growing traffic corridors — and the last safety study was two years ago.

Key details:

  • Students regularly cross a high-volume road.

  • City says the signalized intersection limits what can be added.

  • Speed-reduction zones usually don’t apply to signalized areas.

  • City now plans to re-evaluate conditions.

What’s next: Traffic engineers will review updated behavior and congestion data before recommending changes.
