☕ Fort Collins’ Coziest Cafés (The Vibes Edition)

If “cozy” were a competitive sport, Fort Collins would be dangerously good at it. Think historic booths, warm mugs, scratch-made comfort food, and places where conversations linger longer than planned. These cafés aren’t just stops for caffeine — they’re community living rooms.

🥇 Silver Grill Café (Old Town)

This is peak Fort Collins cozy. Open since 1933, Silver Grill is all creaky floors, friendly faces, and those legendary cinnamon rolls the size of your plate. Generations have met here for breakfast, celebrations, and slow mornings — and somehow, it still feels timeless every single visit.

🌙 Starry Night (Old Town)

Low-lit, intimate, and quietly charming, Starry Night feels like a café you stumble into once… then keep coming back to. It’s the kind of spot made for long conversations, solo coffee dates, and pretending you’re not checking the time.

🥧 Ginger and Baker

Housed in a 1905 grain elevator, Ginger and Baker turns historic bones into peak cozy energy. Exposed brick, wood beams, handmade pies, and warm drinks make it feel equal parts café, bakery, and Fort Collins time capsule — especially on a cold day.

Fort Collins does cozy exceptionally well. Whether you want nostalgia, ambiance, or a place to fully lean into slow mornings, these cafés deliver the kind of comfort that keeps locals coming back year after year.

Fort Collins Upgrades Transit Fleet With Low-Emission CNG Buses

Fort Collins’ public transit agency, Transfort, is replacing six aging buses thanks to $4.8 million in federal funding from the Federal Transit Administration.

The new low-emission compressed natural gas (CNG) buses will cut air pollution, improve reliability, and support the city’s climate goals — without waiting on full electric infrastructure.

The buses will run on CSU’s Around the Horn route, one of Fort Collins’ busiest corridors serving thousands of students, faculty, and staff every day.

  • Lower NOx and particulate emissions than diesel

  • More reliable service on a high-demand route

  • Stronger resilience during extreme weather or grid disruptions

CNG buses are playing a bridge role nationwide as cities modernize aging fleets and work toward zero-emission transit. For Fort Collins, this upgrade helps tackle transportation — the city’s largest source of emissions — right now, not later.
