Happy Friday, FoCo !

There’s something about heading up the canyon that instantly feels like a reset. Fresh air, river views, and just enough adventure to make it feel like a mini getaway. Keep reading—because this weekend at The Mish might be your best plan yet.

Last month our local newsletters across Boulder, Arvada, Fort Collins, Longmont, and Denver were opened 177,000+ times by locals looking for things to do and places to go.

As we continue to grow, I’m looking to add one or two people to help with partnerships with local businesses.

🗳 Now Voting: Fort Collins’ Best Breweries

Pastries had their moment. Now it’s beer time.

We’re opening voting for FoCo’s best breweries — a city that knows its craft. Classic pours, small batches, and taprooms that feel like home.

Got a spot you swear by?

👉 Vote and help crown FoCo’s best.

🧠 Need a brain break?

Play trivia, crosswords, and word searches built just for locals. These games aren’t just fun...they’ll test how well you actually know your city. Great for killing time, learning something new, or proving you’re the true local legend.

🍽️ Craving: The Moot House

Cozy, classic, and built for lingering. The Moot House serves up elevated pub fare—think fish & chips, pretzel rolls, and sticky toffee pudding—paired with a solid lineup of local beers. Add in fireplaces, a welcoming vibe, and a great patio, and it’s an easy go-to for both casual nights and low-key date spots.

📍 South College Ave ⏰ Opens 11 AM 💰 $20–30

🌲 The Mish Takeover: Makers, Music & Canyon Vibes

🌲 The Mish Takeover: Makers, Music & Canyon Vibes

If you needed an excuse to head up the canyon… this is it. Mishawaka Amphitheatre is stacking your weekend with a mix of local creativity and live music that feels very Fort Collins—just with better views. Whether you go for a chill daytime stroll or stay for the night energy, this is a full-on Mish weekend.

🌼 Spring Maker’s Market (Saturday + Sunday) — FREE

This is your sign to shop local and actually enjoy it. The Spring Maker’s Market brings together Northern Colorado artists, jewelry makers, and creatives for a weekend of one-of-a-kind finds you won’t see anywhere else. Set right along the river, it’s less “market errand” and more “wander, discover, repeat.”

✨ Expect:

  • Handmade goods, art, and unique gifts

  • Chill riverside browsing vibes

  • A perfect excuse to spend the day in the canyon

👉 Bonus: This is just the kickoff—markets will continue throughout the summer, so consider this your preview of what’s to come.

🎶 Space Bacon @  Avogadro’s Number

 (Saturday, 8PM) — $23

When the sun goes down, the energy shifts. Head back into town for a night with Space Bacon, a Brooklyn-based jam band known for blending electronic, improv, and experimental sounds into something totally unpredictable. It’s the kind of show where you show up curious… and leave fully converted.

🎧 The vibe:

  • High-energy, genre-bending jam session

  • Standing room, close-up experience

  • Perfect for a spontaneous night out

✨ The move: Market by day, music by night.

✨ The vibe: Canyon calm → late-night chaos (the good kind).
