Centennial State Ballet Finds a New Home Downtown

Centennial State Ballet is moving its holiday and spring productions to the Longmont Performing Arts Center through a new partnership with Longmont Theatre Company. The collab brings “The Nutcracker” (Dec 19–21) and “Beauty & the Beast” (May 30–31) into a more intimate, historic downtown venue — complete with brand-new costumes after the company lost its entire wardrobe to theft last spring.

The move also creates a shared creative ecosystem: the two arts groups are trading costumes, equipment, talent, and even performers. Rehearsals now happen just blocks apart, making production easier and opening doors for young dancers and future tech-theater students.
