Cravings: Caprese Trattoria

A polished neighborhood Italian spot where date night and weeknight pasta both feel right at home. Caprese Trattoria leans into authentic flavors — house-made mozzarella, wood-fired pizzas, rich ravioli, hearty lasagna, and shareable plates that make lingering over wine easy. It’s refined without being stuffy, with strong cocktails and a happy hour that locals quietly swear by.

📍 1067 S Hover St, Longmont ⏰ Open daily (closes 9 PM) 💰 $20–30 per person

Looking for something delightfully random (and wildly adorable) to do this weekend? We’ve got you.

Head to the fairgrounds for an event that’s equal parts educational, wholesome, and “wait… why are alpacas so cute?” energy.

Here’s what’s happenin’ 👇

🎉 2026 Alpaca Extravaganza
📍
Boulder County Fairgrounds | ⏰ Sat 9am–5pm, Sun 10am–4pm | 🎟️ FREE

Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like — a full weekend dedicated to alpacas. Expect rows of these gentle, fluffy charmers plus local farms selling alpaca-made goods like yarn, raw fleece, scarves, hats, socks, and all the cozy things your late-winter self deserves.

Curious how alpacas differ from llamas? (You’re not alone.) Educational classes run both days so you can level up your random-animal-facts game. It’s wholesome, it’s family-friendly, and it’s one of those “only in Colorado” weekends that feels very Longmont.

Quick heads up: only service dogs allowed.

Answer: C) A grid, like a checkerboard.

Longmont’s orderly street layout dates back to its founding days, and the city really took off as a farming hub after the Colorado Central Railroad rolled in back in 1877. 🚂
