đŽ Longmontâs Hidden-Gem Taco Guide (Chosen by You)
đŽ Longmontâs Hidden-Gem Taco Guide: Your Picks, Not Ours
Happy Wednesday, Longmont!đ§Ą
Ben here â and your latest poll was spicy. đśď¸ âHidden Gem Taco Spotsâ narrowly beat out local trails and live music, which tells me one thing: this town is serious about its tortillas.
To make this guide, I took your poll results and paired them with one of the most passionate local threads on the internet about Longmont tacos â the kind with bold opinions, side quests, and a lot of love for adobada, lengua, and horchata.
Below is your unofficial, extremely local, âargue-with-your-friendsâ taco short list.

đŽ The Taco Short List: Longmont Edition
These arenât chains, theyâre not trying to be fancy (well, some are a little fancy) â theyâre just the spots Longmont locals wonât shut up about.
La Panda (11th & Main + South Location)
â The sleeper pick that multiple locals crowned âbest tacos in town, hands down.â Properly cooked meats (especially lengua and barbacoa), serious flavor, and hot salsas that actually bring heat. Donât sleep on the horchata either.
â Street-style tacos with a loyal following â and flautas that people will absolutely fight for in the comments. Expect a classic spot with big flavor, plus pozole that keeps popping up in local recs.
â Constantly shouted out for their chicken street tacos and all-around consistency. Great for mixed groups: meat-eaters, pescetarians, and folks who just want a solid taco plate and call it a night.
â Started as a food truck, now one of the community favorites. Simple, delicious street tacos and a crowd thatâs been following them since the early days. If you like your tacos with a side of âweâve been coming here for years,â this is your spot.
â The place locals bring out-of-town guests when they want to show off. Known for incredible grilled shrimp tacos and a buzzing dining room that fills up fast. Plan ahead or be ready to wait.
â A true Longmont classic in these threads. Opinions about Marcos get⌠passionate, but thereâs no denying the die-hard fans. The adobada keeps coming up, and a lot of locals still call this their go-to comfort taco.
Tacos GTO (Food Truck)
â One of the most frequently mentioned trucks. Asada, al pastor, or the famous âasada del puercoâ â this is a must-try if youâre chasing that perfect late-night taco from a window, not a hostess stand.
â Another strong contender that shows up again and again. Great for when you want tacos plus the option to bring along someone whoâs going to order a giant combo plate and be thrilled about it.
There were so many other shoutouts â Tacos Vallarta (ahi tacos!), Teocalli/Teocalli Cocina, Los Dos Bros at Home Depot, Taqueria Arandas with the DIY salsa bar â that this honestly couldâve been a Top 20. Consider this Part One of the Longmont taco saga.
If your favorite didnât make the cut, hit reply and make your case. I read every one, and Iâm absolutely not above eating my way through a second round. đ

Winter Market Returns Dec. 6â7
Longmontâs most festive market of the season is back this weekend, running Dec. 6â7 from 9 a.m.â3 p.m. at the Boulder County Fairgrounds.
Itâs one of the biggest local-only holiday markets in Colorado â with 150 farmers, ranchers, makers, and food producers all under one (very cheerful) roof.
Farm-fresh winter produce: squash, carrots, apples, onions, radishes, potatoes, microgreens, mushrooms + hothouse tomatoes.
Food court: food trucks, pastries, hot chocolate, coffee, cider, cocktails⌠a.k.a. fuel for holiday shopping.
Gifts: all Colorado-made â from fancy jams to soaps, candles, wine, chocolate, and handmade goods.
Many vendors rely on the Winter Market to carry them through the slow season â your purchases directly support small, local businesses.
Grab a tote bag and shop local. Itâs the easiest (and tastiest) way to knock out your holiday list.
