🐐 Help Us Name Our New Mascot!
Meet our newest team member — the adventurous little goat who’ll be guiding you through all the best things happenin’ around town. But uh… we forgot one thing.
He needs a name.
And we’re letting YOU decide.
Is his name… Billy?
Classic. Friendly. A goat named Billy just feels right.
Or is he… Rocky?
A nod to the Rockies, the mountains, and that Colorado spirit he’s clearly packing in that tiny backpack.

Longmont Advances to Paul Davis Classic Semis
Longmont’s boys basketball team is moving on to the semifinals of the 40th Paul Davis Classic, after a hard-fought 53–49 win over Grandview on Thursday night.
It sets up a big-time matchup between Longmont and host Green Mountain — a Class 5A state runner-up last year — in Friday’s semifinal.
• Green Mountain rolled past Boulder 74–54, giving new head coach Jordan Deignan his first varsity win.
• The Rams came out hot with a 15–2 start and a 29-point game from junior Sam Mielenz.
• Longmont held off Grandview in a tight defensive battle to secure its spot in the late semifinal.
Who’s thriving:
• Jake & Ben Swanson anchored Green Mountain’s interior defense early.
• Sean Haverkamp iced the win with three 4th-quarter threes.
• Longmont’s balanced scoring and late-game execution pushed them through.
🏀 Longmont vs. Green Mountain — Friday, Dec. 5, ~8 p.m. at Green Mountain High School.
🏀 Winner advances to Saturday’s championship at 5 p.m.
If Longmont wants the title, they’ll have to go through the host — and one of Jeffco’s toughest squads.
