→ Expect classic cars, color guards, school bands, and plenty of flag-waving pride. Bring the kids, grab a cup of coffee from your favorite downtown spot, and line the streets early — this is small-town celebration at its finest. ❤️🤍💙
But beyond the parades and pageantry, Veterans Day is about gratitude. It’s a chance to pause, reflect, and recognize the men and women who’ve served — not just in history books, but right here in our neighborhoods. Many of them coach our kids’ teams, volunteer at local shelters, or quietly lend a helping hand when needed. Taking a moment to say thank you helps remind us that community and courage go hand in hand.

Thanks for reading, friends — and here’s your trivia answer: D) Veterans Day! It was first celebrated as Armistice Day in 1919, marking the end of World War I, before being renamed in 1954 to honor all U.S. veterans.
Fun fact: the parade’s 11:11 a.m. start time isn’t random — it marks the exact moment the WWI armistice was signed on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Pretty cool, right? See you downtown tomorrow to cheer, salute, and celebrate the heroes among us.
