Whether youāre after bass, trout, walleye, or simply a quiet afternoon outdoors, Longmontās lakes and creeks deliver. From easy shoreline casting to fly-fishing in mountain streams, thereās a spot for every skill level. Just remember to grab a Colorado Parks & Wildlife fishing license, and if youāre heading up to Button Rock Preserve, bring the extra permit too.
ā One of the areaās most popular fishing spots, with walleye, carp (a fly-fishing favorite), trout, crappie, and catfish. Bonus: big open views and plenty of shoreline.
Lagerman Agricultural Preserve
ā A mellow local favorite known for bass, bluegill, and catfish. Itās also a great place to combine fishing with a walk around the lake.
McIntosh Lake

St. Vrain State Park
