Threads of Arvada presents the Community Quilt Challenge, inviting local makers to create wallhanging quilts using fabrics reproduced from historic flour sacks. Participants must craft their quilt based on the theme "A Day in Arvada," with size restrictions. The event is open to anyone with a connection to Arvada, culminating in a special exhibition in Fall 2026. Registrants will receive custom reproduction fabric kits. The festivities kick off on April 12, 2026, at the 100th birthday celebration of the Arva Pride Mill. Finished quilts must be returned by September 30, 2026, and the public exhibition will follow in Fall-Winter 2026, emphasizing community, creativity, and tradition.
