New Works Concert: Parlando Commissioned Composer Project

About This Event

In efforts to expand the “classical” music canon, the Commissioned Composer New Works Concert brings composers and performers together to prepare and perform never-been-heard music. This project connects students to the full artistic process-from the idea for a piece from its composition to its debut performance. Students have the opportunity to be the first person ever to perform their particular work, which is an incredibly empowering experience. We hope that anyone who participates in or encounters this project comes away feeling joy, wonder, excitement, and inspiration. Come hear twelve world premiers, from solo piano to brass ensemble to choir and everything in between! Tickets are free, but you must reserve a seat using the form on our website.
