Sage & Aera is an indie folk duo combining the songs and instrumental prowess of Sage Cook (Elephant Revival) with the uniquely captivating voice and upright bass of Aera Fox. The duo who co-founded folk-rock band WE DREAM DAWN in 2014 have decided to lay their hearts bare in a purely acoustic fashion. Sage and Aera left Colorado in 2013 to embark on a subsistence farming adventure in hopes that deepening their connection to the land would also lead to greater self-realization and expression. As the trees they planted over ten years ago are just now starting to bear fruit, they too have begun this process of sharing. Emerging from this self-imposed isolation is purposeful pure creativity; organically rooted and cosmically inspired folk music for the modern era. Xerephine hails from the UK and her music shares her origins through its Celtic undertones. Xerephine plays in an array of styles from upbeat ambient dance with bass, to meditative soundscapes featuring her unique vocal style, harp and bodhran. Activism, catharsis and liberation weave their way through her lyrical web and lie at the heart of many of her songs. She is also, on occasion, spotted in the woods portraying a storytelling faery with her harp for children and adults alike. Most recently she has been enjoying exploring a collaboration with the beautiful duo, Sage and Area (We Dream Dawn) and a live band.
