Experience ¡Golazo! this June and July, powered by Denver Film and Soccer Electric, a community-driven celebration of soccer and cinema bringing the thrill of the world’s greatest game directly to the Sie FilmCenter. With family-friendly, pay-what-you-can film screenings and free, live international soccer match watch parties, ¡Golazo! captures the collective spirit of the game, turning the Sie FilmCenter into a vibrant hub for screenings, conversation, and shared viewing — with a full bar available for those who want to make a toast along the way. Anchored by a four-film lineup, including John Huston’s sports-war drama starring Sylvester Stallone, Escape to Victory; a 25th anniversary screening of the kung fu cult comedy Shaolin Soccer; the Iranian social comedy Offside; and the inspiring documentary Copa 71, the series spans genres and continents to highlight the humor, resilience, and cultural impact of soccer around the world. Throw on your kit, rally your friends, and be ready to cheer, chant, and maybe even shed a tear as we slide into a summer of The Beautiful Game, all at the Sie FilmCenter.
