A true tale of growing up weird in the age of juggernaut film trilogies and what happens if you make a freaky little guy the cornerstone of your personality, Gollum Girl LIVE is a comedic and confessional solo show exploring writer/performer A Yourd’s lifelong passion for The Lord of the Rings, specifically her preteen obsession with the character Gollum. Join Gollum Girl on a journey from Middle Earth to early-2000s middle school lunchrooms to this very theatre as she attempts to uncover why we love the things we love even if no one seems to agree with us. This show has a particular appeal to audiences who have been involved with media fandom and fans of the fantasy genre. If you are attending with young fans, please be aware that the show does acknowledge the existence of sex, periods, and slash fanfiction (or a preteen millennial’s understanding of these topics).
