For over 25 years, the Ken Walker Sextet has been a cornerstone of the Denver jazz scene, captivating audiences with impeccable musicality and a seamless blend of classic standards and innovative contemporary compositions. Following the passing of founder Ken Walker in February, his profound legacy continues through the KWS Legacy Band. Core members Peter Sommer (sax), Dave Corbus (guitar), Jeff Jenkins (piano), and Paul Romaine (drums) remain dedicated to the spirit of their founder, weaving a rich tapestry of timeless tunes infused with a vibrant energy that is uniquely their own. The KWS Legacy Band serves as a living tribute, rotating a prestigious lineup of guest artists to perform alongside the original core group. From nationally recognized jazz masters and established local legends to the most promising young talent in the region, each performance honors Ken’s influence while pushing the music forward.
