Musical Style: Originals, jazz, French songs After a two and a half year pause from the concert stage, Denver-based vocalist, Linda Maich is thrilled to be performing again at Dazzle. She will be joined by a top-notch quartet featuring French pianist, Frédéric Desmoulins, acoustic bassist, Michael Fitzmaurice, Jill Fredericksen on drums, and trumpeter, Derek Banach. This concert will include Linda’s original compositions as well as songs by such artists as Oscar Brown Jr., Edith Piaf, and Hoagy Carmichael. An avid francophile, Linda will include some French compositions in her repertoire. In 2019, Linda presented a tribute to Abbey Lincoln at Dazzle, and in 2021, she performed three virtual concerts through the series 100 Nights of Jazz which kept her on her toes during the height of the pandemic. A Colorado native, Linda has lived in Paris, London and Morocco. She currently studies guitar with Melissa Getto. Linda also takes pottery classes at the Art Students League of Denver, and in 2023, she traveled to Japan and visited pottery studios and kilns from Kyoto to the Noto Peninsula. In 2025, Linda attended a pottery workshop in the small village of Cerdeira, Portugal. Linda also volunteers at the Temple Grandin Equine Center where she nurtures her love of horses.
