Magical golden deer, a monkey sidekick, and a quest to rescue a kidnapped princess! Based on the Sanskrit epic poem chronicling the journey of the ancient Indian prince Rama and his quest to rescue his wife Sita from the clutches of the ogre-king Ravana, Gamelan Tunas Mekar presents Sendratari Ramayana, a Balinese dance-drama. Expect lavish costumes, impressive dance, and dazzling music! Please join us in the lobby for Indonesian snacks and beverages before the show, and to participate in our our tax-deductible silent auction (all proceeds support Gamelan Tunas Mekar)!
