Black and white photographs are infused with a unique aesthetic impact and timeless beauty. Before we create monochrome, we must first learn to see and think in the tonalities of black and white. Then head outside to the gardens for a short picture-making experience inspired by the works of this great master. Finally, spend a little time in the classroom learning some post-production tips and tricks for rendering our color digital images into black and white photographs. Throughout the class, we review the broad aesthetics and creative possibilities of digital black and white photography as a form of expression.
