About This Event

A community's fears are stoked into paranoia by a mysterious force, who uses the town to summon itself into their reality. But is it the residents of the fictional seaside town — or the audience — who is doing the summoning? Undertow is an improvised theater production, featuring original music by Jared Allen Lacy, that uses thematic elements of the Weird and the Eerie (Lynch, Vandermeer, Eggers, Danielewski, etc.) to explore the psychodynamics of residents of a small coastal town living under an authoritarian regime, and the mutual reinforcement between community atomization and oppression.
