About This Event
Barbara Steinmetz is an inspiring Holocaust survivor who has dedicated much of her life to sharing her story and educating others about the dangers of hatred and antisemitism. Born in Hungary in 1936, she and her family fled persecution in Europe during World War II, eventually finding refuge in the United States. In June 2025, Barbara was injured and suffered burns during a violent antisemitic firebomb attack in Boulder, Colorado, where she had been participating in a peaceful walk to raise awareness for hostages. Despite this traumatic experience so late in her life, Barbara continues to speak out for kindness, unity, and the importance of standing against hatred in all its forms.
