About This Event
Immerse yourself in an evening of musical splendor at the Held in Light concert, featuring Maurice Duruflé’s ethereal Requiem and Elaine Hagenberg’s uplifting Illuminare. This special event will take place at the University Center for the Arts on 1400 Remington Street. The concert will showcase the talent of baritone Harrison Hintzsche, mezzo-soprano Nicole Asel, and a full professional orchestra from the Front Range. Duruflé’s Requiem, known for its gentle radiance and profound peace, offers a serene reflection on life and death through ancient chants and French impressionism. In contrast, Hagenberg’s Illuminare bursts with energy and shimmering textures, symbolizing the journey from shadows to light both musically and spiritually.
