About This Event
"Red Fever: The Indigenous Influence on Western Culture" is a thought-provoking feature documentary exploring the hidden impact of Indigenous cultures on Western identity. Presented at 1209 N College Ave, the film follows Cree co-director Neil Diamond on a quest to unravel the fascination with stereotypical Native imagery in mainstream culture. Delving into why these cultures have been revered, romanticized, and appropriated, the documentary uncovers untold truths that even many Native individuals are unaware of. Co-hosted by CSU’s ACT Human Rights Film Festival, Native American Cultural Center, and The Symposium, this screening is free with a reservation and is part of Native American Heritage Month celebrations.
