About This Event
Our Summer Music Evenings, will be held weekly from May 27th- October 2nd, every Wednesday and some Friday evenings, from 4:30 - 8:30pm, music is from 5:30-7:45. These evenings, will feature an amazing local band and food truck, while all animals and regular Farmfest activities will be open, for an unforgettable night out on the farm! On Wednesday June 24th, Heavy Diamond Ring will be playing the Sunflower Farm stage! Seventeen years after founding indie-folk giants Paper Bird, vocalist Sarah Anderson and songwriter/guitarist Paul DeHaven embark on their latest collaboration, Heavy Diamond Ring. HDR harnesses their proven, signature partnership of open-hearted All-American folk-rock towards refreshing new territories. Led by Anderson’s smooth-as-honey vocals and DeHaven’s rugged guitar chops, the band has been described as "open-road, long drive music", possessing "a little bit of twang, and a whole lot of beef", and their live show as "infectious and contagious".the band is rounded out by veteran knockouts Blake Stepan (bass), Mike Lang (keys), and Orion Tate Ignelzi (drums). Passport Food truck will be here to purchase dinner and Palo Coffee & Bar will be on site, serving up non-alcoholic beverages and snow-cones. Bring your chairs, blankets and family for a summer eve listening to your favorite local bands at Sunflower!
