Behavioral Specialist in School Setting | Arvada, Colorado

Support a middle school classroom by providing specialized assistance to students with intensive needs in this onsite position located in Arvada, CO. This contract role, lasting through the current school year until March 13th, 2026, focuses on delivering hands-on support within a special education environment. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate closely with teachers and other service providers to support a classroom of 10 middle school students with intensive special education needs. • Provide direct care including diapering and toileting assistance, ensuring students’ health and comfort. • Implement behavior plans and strategies under the guidance of the behavior specialist or teacher. • Assist in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment. Required Qualifications: • Experience working in a classroom setting with middle school students who have intensive special education needs. • Ability to provide personal care including diapering and toileting with dignity and professionalism. • Certification or working knowledge as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or experience as a Paraeducator. • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with educators and service providers. • Availability to work onsite with hours from 8:30 am to 3:45 pm.
