Compensation up to $17.00 an hour with a 10% guaranteed end of season bonus! This role is located at our Brush Creek Ranch! What You'll Do • Mentor and train junior cooks and kitchen staff while gaining hands-on experience in daily operations and supervising line production. • Learn and practice culinary duties and food production standards in preparation for future leadership roles. • Adhere to all Food and Beverage operating procedures, health department regulations, and federal guidelines. • Inspect incoming food products for freshness and adherence to specifications. • Store raw ingredients and prepared dishes according to mandated safety procedures. • Maintain accurate food prep records in compliance with HACCP guidelines. • Manage food and labor costs effectively, ensuring efficient scheduling and minimizing unnecessary overtime. • Guide and support the stewarding team to foster their growth and advancement within the company. • Create a positive and cooperative work atmosphere that emphasizes teamwork. • Assist with logistics for transporting supplies to various ranch venues, operating ranch vehicles as needed. What You'll Bring • A passion for creativity, energy, and a commitment to excellence in the kitchen. • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others. • Basic computer proficiency, including skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Experience in essential cooking techniques such as sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, pantry work, and breakfast preparation. • Solid knife skills and proficiency with various cooking and preparation equipment. • Culinary education or apprenticeship preferred but not mandatory.
