Overview of the Role As an Automotive Glass Repair Technician Trainee, you'll be at the forefront of transforming the Safelite experience. Utilizing industry-leading tools and receiving hands-on training, you will learn to complete vehicle glass repairs, replacements, and recalibrations both in our shops and on the go with our mobile services. Your Responsibilities • Provide top-quality vehicle glass repair and replacement services efficiently while ensuring safety and exceptional customer service. • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and conduct diagnostic testing. • Use Safelite's cutting-edge tools and technology, including True Seal® and Ezi-Wire. • Safely operate company and customer vehicles throughout the day. • Engage with customers through various communication methods, promoting Safelite services. • Maintain a clean and professional work environment and comply with all company policies. What We Offer • Competitive weekly pay starting at $23.50/hour, with increases to $27.75/hour after training and certification. • Additional earnings for each set of wiper blades sold. • Extensive benefits package worth over $10k, including a 401(k) plan with company matching, medical plans, and paid time off. • Tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 annually to further your education. • Paid training and resources essential for your success. Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED is preferred. • Must have a valid state-issued driver's license. • Safelite SafeTech certification is required. • Must be at least 18 years of age. Skills and Abilities • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. • Comfortable working in various weather conditions. • Strong customer service skills and a passion for helping others. • Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely. • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently and as part of a team.
