Last month our local newsletters across Boulder, Arvada, Fort Collins, Longmont, and Denver were opened 177,000+ times by locals looking for things to do and places to go.
As we continue to grow, I’m looking to add one or two people to help with partnerships with local businesses.
If you love supporting local businesses and want to help grow these newsletters, just reply to this email and tell me a little about yourself.
🗳 Now Voting: Arvada’s Best Brunch 🍳
Beer had its moment… now it’s brunch time.
We’re opening voting for Best Brunch in Arvada, the spots that turn slow mornings into a full plan. Breakfast burritos, strong coffee, patios when the weather hits just right… you know the vibe.
If there’s a place you always recommend, this is your chance to back it.
Need a brain break?
Play trivia, crosswords, and word searches built just for locals. These games aren’t just fun...they’ll test how well you actually know your city. Great for killing time, learning something new, or proving you’re the true local legend.
Craving: Freedom Street Social
Food hall energy done right. This is the go-to when no one can agree—sushi, tacos, hot chicken, desserts, all in one spot. Easy for groups, great drinks, and built for hanging out.

🪡 Threads of Arvada: Community Quilt Challenge
Photo from @arapahoecountyquilters
This isn’t just a quilt project. It’s a chance to tell a story about Arvada… your version of it.
The Threads of Arvada challenge is a community art project tied to two big milestones: Colorado’s 150th anniversary and the 100th birthday of the Arva Pride Flour Mill. And instead of just celebrating history, they’re putting it in your hands.
Here’s how it works:
🧵 Create your own quilt piece
Theme: “A Day in Arvada”
Past, present, or future… totally up to you
🎨 Use historic-inspired fabric
You’ll get custom fabric based on original Arva Pride flour sacks📏 Keep it wall-hanging size
Max perimeter: 120 inches (like 30x30 or 36x24)👀 Be part of a public exhibit
Finished quilts will be displayed later this year
📍 Info Session (Easy way to jump in)
Where: Community Recreation Center
Address: 6842 Wadsworth Blvd
When: April 17
Time: 1:00–2:30 PM
Cost: Free to attend (no RSVP needed)
You can also register anytime for $25, which gets you the fabric kit and full instructions.
👥 Who can join?
Pretty much anyone with a connection to Arvada.
Beginner? Totally fine. Experienced quilter? Even better.
This is less about perfection and more about perspective. Every piece is different, and that’s kind of the point.
🧠 Why this one’s worth your time
A lot of community events are fun for a day.
This one sticks around. Literally.
You’re creating something that becomes part of a bigger story, then seeing it displayed alongside everyone else’s version of Arvada. It’s local history… but way more personal.
(And honestly, it’s a cool excuse to try something new if you’ve never quilted before.)

💘 Date Spot in Arvada
Arvada dates are all about small-town charm with local flavor. Olde Town Arvada is a go-to for strolling, cozy dinners, and dessert stops, while the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities adds a culture-forward twist with shows, exhibits, and open-air vibes. If you’re leaning outdoorsy, sunset views and picnic potential at Majestic View Park never miss.

🪡 Final Stitch
Arvada has a lot of events, but not many that invite you to help create something lasting. This one does. If you’ve been looking for a low-key way to meet people, try something creative, or just do something different… this might be it.
And if nothing else, go to the info session. You might surprise yourself.
Trivia Answer:B. Quilting bees 🧵
These were social gatherings where people came together to stitch quilts, share stories, and pass down traditions. In a lot of ways, the Threads of Arvada project is a modern version of that same idea
