Arvada’s Mother’s Day Weekend Is Looking Very Arvada

Happy Friday, Arvada 💕

Somewhere in town this weekend, a person is going to do goat yoga in the morning, drink bottomless mimosas in the afternoon, and leave with handmade jewelry by sunset. Honestly? That’s a pretty strong Saturday.

In today’s What’s Happenin’:

• Wine glass painting + pastries at LUKI

• Goat yoga and bunny yoga are both somehow real

• Brunches, makers markets, and cocktails for a cause

Let’s get to it.

What’s Happenin’ is growing — want to join us?

Last month our local newsletters across Boulder, Arvada, Fort Collins, Longmont, and Denver were opened 275,000+ times by locals looking for things to do and places to go.

As we continue to grow, I’m looking to add one or two people to help with partnerships with local businesses.

If you love supporting local businesses and want to help grow these newsletters, just reply to this email and tell me a little about yourself.

🗳 Now Voting:  Arvada’s Best Brunch 🍳

Beer had its moment… now it’s brunch time.

We’re opening voting for Best Brunch in Arvada, the spots that turn slow mornings into a full plan. Breakfast burritos, strong coffee, patios when the weather hits just right… you know the vibe.

If there’s a place you always recommend, this is your chance to back it.

👉 Vote and help crown Arvada’s best.

Play trivia, crosswords, and word searches built just for locals. These games aren’t just fun...they’ll test how well you actually know your city. Great for killing time, learning something new, or proving you’re the true local legend.

Craving: George’s Cafe

A classic Arvada diner serving a huge menu of globally inspired comfort food in a relaxed, no-frills setting. From big breakfast plates to gyros, burgers, and crispy fries, George’s is the kind of spot where everyone finds something they want. It’s friendly, affordable, and perfect for a laid-back morning or early lunch.

Moms, Mimosas & Goat Yoga? Arvada’s Mother’s Day Weekend Is Booked

Moms, Mimosas & Goat Yoga? Arvada’s Mother’s Day Weekend Is Booked

Mother’s Day weekend in Arvada is shaping up to be less “generic flowers and crowded restaurants” and more “let’s make this weirdly fun.”

There’s a little bit of everything happening around town this weekend, whether your mom loves brunch, crafting, shopping local, yoga, animals, cocktails… or all five at once.

🎨 Paints, Pastries & Pours at LUKI Brewery

LUKI Brewing is basically turning Mother’s Day into a full-on self-care afternoon Saturday from 2–4 PM.

The main event is a guided wine glass painting class with Painting With a Twist where you’ll decorate your own set of glasses to take home. It’s $40 and includes a drink, which honestly feels fair considering most of us haven’t touched a paintbrush since middle school art class.

But the real power move? Adding the $15 pastry + bottomless mimosa option.

We’re talking:

  • 🥐 Pastries from Knead the Bakery

  • 🍊 Bottomless seltzer-based mimosas

  • 🍷 Mom’s Mimosa Flights all weekend long

Even if you skip the painting, you can still show up for pastries and pours while supplies last.

🐐 Yes, Goat Yoga Is Back

Arvada Goat Yoga is hosting:

  • 🐐 Mother’s Day Goat Yoga at Freedom Street Social (Saturday)

  • 🐰 Bunny Yoga at Colorado Tap House (Sunday)

And honestly, this feels very on-brand for Colorado in 2026.

If your ideal relaxation involves tiny animals climbing near your yoga mat while you attempt balance poses, congratulations, this is your weekend.

🛍️ Shop Local at the Spring Maker’s Market

Talnua Distillery’s Spring Maker’s Market on Saturday is another easy Mother’s Day win.

Expect:

  • Handmade goods

  • Jewelry

  • Home décor

  • Cocktails

  • Pizza from Nano’s Pi

It’s 21+ and probably the best place to find a last-minute gift that doesn’t scream “I bought this at a gas station yesterday.”

🥂 Mother’s Day Brunch in Olde Town

Olde Town Social is kicking off brunch season Sunday morning with:

  • New brunch cocktails

  • Chef Sam Jordan’s brunch menu

  • Free “Mom-mosas” for moms

Honestly, any restaurant giving out free brunch drinks on Mother’s Day understands the assignment.

🐶 Cocktails for Paws

Saturday night, Colorado Tap House is hosting Cocktails for Paws benefiting Rocky Mountain French Bulldog Rescue.

Drinks, auctions, swag, and a good cause? Pretty solid combo.

One of the better things about weekends like this is how local they feel. Most of these events aren’t giant productions. They’re breweries, local businesses, yoga instructors, bakers, and makers all teaming up to give people an excuse to get out together for a few hours. That’s kind of Arvada’s sweet spot.
