Your Weekend Plans Might Officially Include Trash Bags
Happy Friday, Arvada š
Somehow, spring always makes people want to āget outside more.ā But this weekend, a bunch of Arvadans are taking that energy a step further with an event thatās equal parts community cleanup, neighborhood hangout, and excuse to earn a cold drink afterward. Read on because this one turns a regular Sunday walk into something way more satisfying.

Ralston Creek Trail Cleanup
Ralston Creek Trail is one of Arvadaās go-to paths, which also means it gets its share of everyday wear, wind-blown trash, and āhow did that even get here?ā litter.
On Sunday, May 3, Odyssey Beerwerks and Talnua Distillery are teaming up for their annual Ralston Creek Trail Cleanup. Volunteers will meet at Odyssey Beerwerks at 10:45 AM, then head out on foot with gloves, trash bags, water, and sunscreen provided.
Why it matters:
Cleaner trails are safer and more enjoyable for walkers, runners, cyclists, and dogs who think every walk is a parade.
Picking up trash helps protect local wildlife and keeps debris out of nearby waterways.
Small local cleanups add up, especially on well-loved community trails like Ralston Creek.
Itās a simple way to do something good for Arvada without needing a clipboard, committee, or 14-step plan.
After the cleanup, volunteers will return to Odyssey and Talnua for a free drink.

Tiny Cleanup, Big Difference
Itās easy to overlook how much work goes into keeping community trails clean until you see a bag full of what gets left behind. Events like this help keep Arvadaās outdoor spaces safer, cleaner, and more enjoyable for everyone using them every day. Plus, there are worse ways to spend a Sunday morning than helping out your city and ending it with a free drink.
