š³ Now Voting: Denverās Best Breweries š»
Pastries had their moment. Now itās beer time.
Weāre opening voting for Denverās best breweries ā from RiNo staples to neighborhood taprooms. Lagers, hazy IPAs, stouts⦠the spots you actually keep going back to.
Got a go-to pint or favorite patio?
Need a brain break?
Play trivia, crosswords, and word searches built just for locals. These games arenāt just fun...theyāll test how well you actually know your city. Great for killing time, learning something new, or proving youāre the true local legend.
š½ļø Craving: Pema
Something a little differentāin the best way. Pema brings bold, comforting Tibetan flavors to RiNo, with dishes like momos (dumplings) and rich noodle soups that hit every time. Portions are generous, prices are surprisingly reasonable for Denver, and the vibe feels warm and welcoming from the second you walk in.
š RiNo (Larimer St) ā° Opens 11 AM š° $20ā30
š“ Collect, Trade, Repeat: Denverās Most Nostalgic Weekend Yet
If you grew up trading cards at lunch, collecting Pokémon, or building train sets on the floor⦠this weekend is about to hit you right in the childhood. Denver is hosting two massive, family-friendly events that bring collectors, hobbyists, and curious newcomers together for a full-on nostalgia fest.
Trading Card Con
First up ā Trading Card Con takes over the Sheraton Downtown all weekend, and itās basically a playground for collectors. Weāre talking 200+ vendors, rare finds, PokĆ©mon everything, sports cards, comics, and those āwait⦠I used to have that?!ā moments around every corner. Add in live giveaways every hour, meet-and-greets with voice actors, and viral card influencers walking around, and itās easy to spend way longer here than you planned.
š Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel | ā° April 10ā12 | šļø $15+ (kids under 7 free)
Pro tip: If youāre serious about collecting (or just want first dibs), VIP access gets you early entry and a Saturday night trade party š
Rocky Mountain Train Show
Then this weekend rolls right into something equally fun ā just with a different kind of engine. The Rocky Mountain Train Show pulls into the National Western Complex with 3 acres of model trains, interactive exhibits, and enough moving parts to keep both kids and adults locked in.
š National Western Complex | ā° April 11ā12, 9AMā4PM | šļø $16 adults, kids 12 & under free
Expect 30+ operating train layouts, LEGO displays, ride-on trains, and hands-on activities ā plus hundreds of vendors if youāre ready to go full hobby mode.
Whether youāre chasing rare cards, introducing your kids to your old-school hobbies, or just looking for something different this weekend, this lineup delivers. Itās playful, a little nerdy (in the best way), and honestly⦠way more fun than your usual Friday plans.
