Aaron Gordon Out Until After Christmas, Nuggets Say

The Nuggets confirmed this week that Aaron Gordon will remain sidelined until after Christmas as he continues recovering from a hamstring strain — the same injury he re-aggravated in November.

Gordon was having one of his most efficient starts ever (18.8 PPG on 53/44/86 shooting), and Denver is already down another starter with Christian Braun nursing a high ankle sprain.

• Head coach David Adelman says the team won’t rush Gordon back, aiming for a full-strength return closer to the new year.

• Denver is off to a 17–6 start — the best 23-game record in franchise history since the NBA-ABA merger.

• Expect more minutes for Peyton Watson and potentially two-way standout Spencer Jones, who’s been stepping up as a defender.

The Nuggets’ offense is rolling, the defense is steady enough, and the team is focused on the long game — keeping Gordon healthy for another deep postseason run.
